‘Hawa’ to hit cinema today

The most talked-about film ‘Hawa’ will hit theatres across the country today. The Chanchal Chowdhury starrer film will be released in 24 cinemas, including five branches of Star Cineplex, Blockbuster Cinemas, Shyamoli Cinema, Modhumita and Lion Cinemas in Dhaka, Sena Auditorium in Savar, Cinescope in Narayanganj, Silver Screen, Sugondha and Cinema Place in Chattogram, Shankha Cinema in Khulna, Shapla in Rangpur, Modhuban Cineplex in Bogura and Chayabani in Mymenshing.

Hawa is a mystery-drama film directed by Mejbaur Rahman Sumon. The film is produced by Facecard Productions and Sun Music and Motion Pictures Limited.

Besides Chanchal Chowdhury, Nazifa Tushi, Sariful Razz, Sumon Anowar, Shohel Mondol, Nasir Uddin Khan, Rizvi Rizu, Arfan Mredha and others will be seen acting in the film.

Prior to its release, the movie has already started breaking records. According to various reports, the tickets for the premiere and the next couple of days have already been sold out.

Star Cineplex authorities have confirmed that all five of its branches will combinedly run 26 shows of ‘Hawa’ every day. 

The shooting of the film ‘Hawa’ began in October, 2019 and almost filming entirely took place at the coral island of Saint Martin.

The plot revolves around a group of fishermen who venture into the deep sea with a trawler and explore the prevalent sea mythologies.

The film’s ‘Shada Shada Kala Kala,’ which was released on July 7, has earned huge acclamation from the audience. The song garnered over 15 million views on Jaaz Multimedia’s YouTube channel.

The other song is ‘E Hawa’ by Meghdol from their album ‘Aluminum Er Dana’ also has caught the audience attention. The director himself, along with Shibu Kumar Shill wrote and sang the song.
