A three-day Bangladesh International Travel and Tourism Expo (BITTE) will begin on December 1 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital.
The Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB) will organise the expo which will end on December 3.
He expected that through this expo they would be able to brand products, develop quality of foreign tourism services to earn foreign currency,
arrange cultural programmes, promote tourism industry and exhibit traditional foods.
“ATAB will focus on developing good relations with embassies of different countries and high commissions and build strong business relationships with travel agencies, tour operators and airlines,” he said.
Murshed also described ATAB’s plan to organise international travel and tourism exhibitions in Bangladesh in collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the end of the press briefing, ATAB signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hotel InterContinental which will ensure special benefits for its members while enjoying services of the hotel.
