10 noted singers lend voice to Padma Bridge theme song

Ten prominent singers of the country have sung the official theme song for the grand opening of Padma Bridge.  Lyrics written by Kabir Bakul, the track has been composed by Kishore Das.

Legendary singers like Sabina Yasmin, Rafiqul Alam, Kumar Bishwajit, Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, Momotaz Begum, Dilshad Nahar Kona, Bappa Mazumder, Imran Mahmudul, Kishore Das and Nishita Barua have lent their vocals to the song.

A few lyrics of the song are—‘Tumi Obichol, Dreero Protiggo Tumi Dhumketu, Bangabandhu Diyechhen Desh, Tumi Dile Padma Setu..., Periye Sokol Oposhokti Shoto Shohosro Badha, Padma Setu Matha Unchu Kora Atmamarzada.’  

The video of the song has been made by the initiative of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on top of the Padma Bridge. Kamrul Hasan Imran has directed the music video.

Kishore Das shared his expression of gratitude regarding the project through a Facebook post recently, describing the workflow of the song. “Marking the occasion of the inauguration of Padma Bridge, I had the wonderful opportunity to sing and compose the ‘Official Theme Song’ of the inauguration event,” he said.

Eminent singer Rafiqul Alam said, “This impeccable song is composed by a new generation artiste Kishore and penned by a great lyricist of our nation Kabir Bakul. I’m really overwhelmed to perform in this song and also to witness the pride of our nation, the mighty Padma Bridge.”

The song will be aired different television channels on the opening day of Padma Bridge.
