Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two youths with 168 illegal walkie-talkies from the capital on Sunday night.
The arrestees are Abdullah Al Sabbir, 33, and Al Mamun, 27, said Lt Col Arif Mohiuddin Ahmed, commanding officer (CO) of RAB-3, at a press briefing in the city on Monday.
The officer said that the arrestees have been illegally selling black walkie-talkies, which only law enforcers can use, to their contracted people for a long time.
The officer said that many criminals using black walkie-talkies are committing different crimes, including robbery, in guise of law enforcers. About Sabbir, he said that he has been selling such things for the last five years while Mamun for two years.
