The International Cricket Council Chairman Greg Barclay passed a busy day in Dhaka on Sunday after he arrived on a two-day visit to Bangladesh.

The New Zealander landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 01:05pm through a Singapore Airlines flight. He then went to Purbachal to visit the site of Sheikh Hasina Cricket Stadium.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hassan Papon, the BCB Chief Executive Officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury and the BCB Cricket Operations Chairman Jalal Yunus also accompanied him during the visit to Purbachal.

Barclay spent some time with school-going children and also witnessed a school cricket match at the proposed ground of Sheikh Hasina Cricket Stadium.

He later attended a dinner hosted by the BCB President at a city hotel.

Meanwhile, Barclay will watch the opening day session of the series-concluding Test between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka today before he meets Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on a courtesy call.

He is also scheduled to travel to Sylhet to visit the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium Complex on the same day before he leaves for Kolkata, India on May 24 to watch the remaining matches of the ongoing IPL.
