Booters start camp today

Bangladesh national football team will start their closed-door practice sessions for the upcoming FIFA tier-1 international friendly and AFC Asian Cup qualifiers 2023 under head coach Javier Cabrera today at the Bashundhara Sports Complex in the capital.

 Bangladesh Football Federation informed that the first day's session will start at 4:00pm. Spectators are not allowed on the ground but journalists will get only the first 15-minute to observe their practice on the first day.

The team will continue their sessions at the Bashundhara Sports Complex until May 27.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh will play the international match against Indonesia on June 1 at their home while they will participate in the four-team Group E of Asian Cup qualifiers from June 8-14 in Malaysia.   

A total of 20 out 21-member preliminary squad reported to the team manager Iqbal Hossain at a city hotel in the capital on Monday. Dhaka Abahani’s goalkeeper Sahidul Alam didn’t report to the camp due to injury.

Earlier on Saturday, Bangladesh Football Federation picked up 21 footballers for the residential training camp. The national players of Bashundhara Kings will join the camp after ending their AFC Cup assignment on May 24.
