Cop gets wrist severed in attack by accused

CHATTOGRAM: A police constable got his wrist separated while two others, including a cop, were injured in an attack by an accused during a drive at Lohagara upazila in the district on Sunday.

The constable Md Jony Khan was posted at the local Lohagara Police Station.

Sources said a team of police went to arrest an accused in Lalarkhil area in the morning.

The accused Kabir Ahmed swooped on police with sharp weapon at that time and managed to flee.

The attack left wrist of Jony separated while injured another constable Shahadat Hossain and plaintiff of the case Abul Hossain injured.

Of the injured, Jony was sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) and later shifted to Dhaka for better treatment.
