Bangladeshi-American business leader and IT entrepreneur Aziz Ahmad was awarded the prestigious World Green Energy Symposium Nova Award 2022.
He received the award at the annual WGES Summit on April 13 for his contributions to business and, specifically, for his tireless efforts to bring skill-based training to the less-fortunate in society.
WGES stated that “Aziz Ahmad has shown exemplary
leadership, innovation, and commitment to solving societal inequities through sustainable and educational solutions.”
Ahmad also addressed the symposium with a presentation on the topic of “Maximizing Cybersecurity for a Sustainable Digital Future.”
The WGES brought together top experts in sustainability including investors, innovators, government agencies.
Key areas of focus for the conference were Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Practices that can minimise the impact of our carbon footprint.
He recalled the young male and female faces who came from under-privileged, underserved, marginalised communities who had the opportunity to learn career-building skills from CodersTrust and now are making a living in the global employment market.
"I accept this award on behalf of all my colleagues at CodersTrust and UTC Associates who have made this possible,” Aziz Ahmad said.
“The youth, especially the female community, who struggle to find a comfortable living, is our prime concern, as we expand our sustainable, technology-based training platform," he added.
"WGES proudly adds Mr. Ahmad to the roster of past recipients of the Nova Award. He is an influencer and a game changer," stated Professor George Robert, Executive Chairman of the WGES Council.
