Mosaddeq named President, Nazmul General Secretary of Dhanmondi Society

The new executive committee of the Dhanmondi Society has been announced. On Sunday evening, at the Dhanmondi Immanuels Convention Center, the 23-member executive committee for the 2025–2027 term was officially declared.

Dr. Mosaddeq Habib (Mitu) has been elected as the President, and Nazmul Wasik Khan (Alok) has been elected as the General Secretary of the newly formed committee.

Other members of the committee include: Vice Presidents: A. Kamal Anu, Latiful Bari, Joint Secretary: Zafar Ahmed Patwari, Organizing Secretary: Md. Tayyab Afzal, Finance Secretary: Mohammad Saad Ullah (Onkur), Legal Affairs Secretary: Mohammad Aniq Rushd Haque, Office Secretary: Md. Shariful Haque, Community Health Secretary: Dr. Naveed Asif Ahmed, Public Relations Secretary: Md. Riaz Ahmed, Cultural Affairs Secretary: Bushra Faruq, Environment Secretary: Md. Tarek Rahman, Women Affairs Secretary: Dr. Tasrina Rahman, Sports Secretary: Md. Saifur Rahman Peter, Public Welfare Secretary: Khurshid Alam Khan, Information & Communication Secretary: Khan Md. Usama Salehin

Elected members include: Akbar Haider, Shahriar Ahmed Saikat, Kazi Rizwan Mominul Haque, Md. Shariful Islam Chowdhury, Moinul Haque Chowdhury, and Khaja Taseen Ahmed.

Newly elected President Dr. Mosaddeq Habib said, “We will maintain the continuity of the society’s work to make the Dhanmondi area safer and more beautiful. Along with that, we will take initiatives through discussions with committee members and residents to solve all existing issues.”

Newly elected General Secretary Nazmul Wasik Khan said, “From footpath encroachments to various other problems, this residential area has faced many challenges. We are gradually overcoming them. Many issues are already on the path to resolution. With the support of the Dhanmondi residents, our primary goal is to transform this area into a model residential neighborhood.”
