Mujib Corner and Bangabandhu Gallery have been inaugurated at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS) in the capital.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the corner and gallery at SHNIBPS on Tuesday through a video conferencing from her official Ganabhaban residence and attended the Sixth International Scientific Conference of the Society of Plastic Surgeons of Bangladesh ‘Plasticon 2022’.

Different aspects of the colourful life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman are displayed at the Mujib Corner and Bangabandhu Gallery.

Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat extended all-out support to build the Mujib Corner and Bangabandhu Gallery.

SHNIBPS coordinator Dr Samanta Lal Sen said, “I thank Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat. We have been able to create Mujib Corner and Bangabandhu Gallery with his (Nafeez Sarafat) active cooperation. I would also like to thank Barrister Biplob Barua, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, for helping us.”

Health Minister Zahid Maleque, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of CUB Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat, Health Secretary Lokman Hossain Mia, Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Abul Bashar Khurshid Alam, SHNIBPS coordinator Dr Samanta Lal Sen, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s photographer Yasin Kabir, among others, were present on the occasion.
