Nusraat Faria pairs up with Yash Dasgupta in ‘Rockstar’

Nusraat Faria is one of the popular film actresses of the country. She has acted in many audience-acclaimed movies in both Bangladesh and Kolkata. Now, the actress will be seen acting in a new movie titled ‘Rockstar’.

Tollywood actor Yash Dasgupta will appear in the film opposite Nusraat. Through this movie, Nusraat has paired up with Yash for the first time. Under the banner of Bangladeshi production house Shapla Media International, Tollywood filmmaker Anshuman Pratyush is directing the movie.

The shooting of the film began at a location in Kolkata on Friday. The first lot shooting will continue till March 3. Nusraat Faria confirmed the news by sharing a screenshot on her official Facebook page on Thursday. The post reads, “So our journey begins, Rockstar’s shooting starts today. Need all of your good wishes, love and support.” 

The entire shooting of the romantic thriller will take place at different beautiful locations in India.  

Nusraat Faria started her film career through the movie ‘Aashiqui: True Love’ produced by Jaaz Multimedia. The Indo-Bangladeshi joint venture film was released in 2015. Her second movie ‘Hero 420’ was released in 2016. 

 In 2016, the actress also starred in another Indo-Bangladeshi co-production ‘Badsha - The Don’ directed by Baba Yadav. The film also starred popular Indian actor Jeet, and is considered a turning point in Nusraat’s career.

After starring Indo-Bangladeshi films for two years, Nusraat then starred in two Bangladeshi films in 2017, ‘Premi o Premi’ and ‘Dhat Teri Ki’. 

On the other hand, Yash Dasgupta is an Indian actor, model and politician. Dasgupta belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party since 17 February 2021.

Yash started his career in television. He is better known for his roles in ‘Bojhena Se Bojhena’ and ‘Na Aana Is Des Laado’.

Yash was launched in films by Shree Venkatesh Films. The debut film of Yash was the 2016 romantic thriller ‘Gangster’ directed by Birsa Dasgupta.
