The government has issued 11-point instructions, asking schools and colleges to conduct academic activities through online or virtual platforms during the closure of the educational institutions.
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) said on Saturday that the educational institutions can keep their offices open to conduct their academic activities online.
DSHE said the daily activities will be held at the offices following health guidelines. In case of emergency, headmasters or principals can keep teachers and staff members engaged in work following the health rules.
The guidelines include that the coronavirus vaccination programme for students between the ages of 12 and 18 will be conducted through following health rules.
The Regional Office of the DSHE, the District Education Office and the Upazila or Thana Secondary Education Office will coordinate with the local administration and the Civil Surgeon in the vaccination programme. The utmost care should be taken to keep all the electricity, telephone, internet, water and gas connections of the institution, including classrooms, libraries and laboratories, uninterrupted and safe amid the closure.
At this time, special attention should be given to the maintenance and overall security of all the resources of the educational institution, the DSHE said.
Apart from this the dormitories of the educational institutions where residential students are staying will remain open until further notice. However, everyone must strictly follow health rules.
Ongoing sports competitions in different parts of the country will be suspended untill further notice. Apart from this, regular cleaning activities should be continued in the educational institutions.
