Mahmud named technical director of women’s nat’l team

The Bangladesh Cricket Board on Wednesday appointed Khaled Mahmud as the technical director of their women’s national cricket team, confirmed an official to The Daily Sun. The former national skipper is already

working with the women’s team cricketers in their ongoing camp.

Mahmudul Imam will act as their head coach while Nasiruddin Faruk will act as his assistant. Bangladesh will travel to Zimbabwe to play in the ICC World Cup Qualifiers, scheduled from November 21. Ahead of the

tournament, they are scheduled to play three ODIs against Zimbabwe

respectively on November 10, 12 and 15.
