The country’s coronavirus situation has remained stable still as the daily infection rate has remained below 4 percent for last 13 consecutive days.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the country has reported 14 more deaths and 543 infections from coronavirus over the last 24 hours till 8:00am on Tuesday.
However, the daily infection rate was reported below 4 percent for 13 days in a row and below 5 percent for last 22 consecutive days in the country. The DGHS said the daily infection rate started declining from the ending of the last month.
During the second wave of the virus infection, the highest of 264 deaths was recorded in the country on August 5 and August 10 while the highest of 16,230 cases were reported on July 28.
The number of total infections has risen to 15,63,501 with the overall positivity rate 15.64 percent. The number of death in a day remains below 50 for last 26 days in row and below 40 for 23 consecutive days with the declining of the infection and casualty simultaneously in the country.
Besides, the national death toll has increased to 27,713 with a case fatality rate of 1.77 per cent. At the same time, the recovery rate continued to improve in the country reaching 97.55 percent with the recuperation of a good number of Covid-19 patients every day.
