Free eye camp held at Jatiya Press Club

Around 200 members, officials and employees of Jatiya Press Club (JPC) received free treatment at an eye camp on Thursday.

JPC arranged the camp in cooperation with Sandhani National Eye Donation Samity on the club premises, as part of a two-week programme to mark its 67th founding anniversary.

The camp began at 9:00am and continued till 2:00pm.

A nine-member team of Sandhani Eye Hospital led by its chief consultant Professor Dr Malik Iftekhar Siddiq conducted the eye camp.

At the closing ceremony of the camp, JPC president Farida Yasmin thanked Sandhani for providing cooperation in holding the eye camp.

Convener of JPC Health and Member Welfare Sub-committee Bakhtiar Rana moderated the programme while JPC acting general secretary Mainul Alam, Dhaka Union of Journalists president Quddus Afrad and Dr Moni Lal Aich Litu of Sandhani National Eye Donation Samity also spoke.

Senior vice president of JPC Hassan Hafif and its managing committee member Syed Abdal Ahmed were also present.
