24 services of Department of Environment have come under one-stop service of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) aiming to help entrepreneurs set up industries without any hassles.
Department of Environment (DoE) and BSCIC signed an MoU in this regard at a function at the BSCIC headquarters in the capital on Tuesday, says a release.
From now on, industrial entrepreneurs will be able to take DoE’s six main services and 18 linked services from BSCIC one-stop service. This will help the setting up new industries in BSCIC industrial estates across the country.
The services include – clearance and renewal of environment certificate, site clearance, environmental impact assessment, approvals of terms of reference and zero discharged.
BSCIC chairman said the BSCIC has been working for ensuring hassle-free support to the businesses under umbrella of one-stop-service platform. “The partnership with department of environment will bring pace in the industrialization across the country,” he said.
DoE director general said the agreement will set new example for progress of small industries in rural areas. BSCIC directors Swapan Kumar Ghosh and Napal Chandra Karmaker, Secretary Mofidul Islam, DoE directors Masud Iqbal Md Shameem and Farid Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
BSCIC has taken mega planning consists of 13 programmers to develop 10 million entrepreneurs and to set up 100 environment-friendly business hubs across the country within 2041.
