A solo exhibition of artist Shohag Parvez titled ‘My Country’ is underway at the Galleri Kaya in the capital’s Uttara area. The exhibition was began on September 10.
Forty-two artworks of Shohag Parvez are being displayed at the 15-day exhibition. Watercolours, charcoal, acrylic, pen, and pencil have been used in the artworks.
The inspiration for his work is the nature of Bangladesh and the hard-working ordinary people. He believes that the great achievement for an artist is to present his country on canvas.
Shohag took part in more than 45 art camps and 75 group exhibitions at home and abroad, including India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Vietnam, Dubai, Philippines, Poland, Australia, and America.
This artist has composed around 3,000 book covers and illustrations. His first exhibition in Galleri Kaya was held in 2012.
‘My Country’ is Shohag’s 8th solo exhibition. The exhibition will continue till September 25.
