Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested a female member of the militant outfit Ansar al Islam in the capital’s Badda area.
Cyber Intel Team under City-Intelligence Analysis Division of the CTTC held the female member identified as Jubaida Siddika Nabila, a college student, from the area on Thursday.
Police also seized a mobile phone set with two SIM cards and memory cards from her possession.
Asaduzzaman, also additional commissioner of the DMP, said Nabila joined the outfit after she had made the acquaintance of the admin of a Facebook group ‘Titumir Media’ in 2020.
Later on, she used to spread militancy through several Facebook, Telegram and Chirpwire IDs, he said.
