Journalist Saleh Biplob’s mother dies

Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU)’s permanent member and Executive Editor of Daily Amader Natun Somoy Saleh Biplob’s mother Nilufar Begum died of old age complications at her youngest son’s residence in the city’s Badda area on Tuesday. She was 75.

She left behind her five sons, one daughter, grandchildren and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.

Nilufar’s husband late Patwari Abdul Jabbar was a retired railway official.

She will be buried at her family graveyard at Patwari Bari in Chandpur town following her namaz-e-janaza today.

On behalf of DRU executive committee, the organisation’s President Mursalin Nomani and General Secretary Mosiur Rahman Khan expressed profound shock at her death.

They also prayed for the salvation of her departed soul and extended deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
