Bangladesh national football team slipped down to 188th from 184th in the latest FIFA World Rankings, published on Thursday.
The men in red and green, who finished last in the group during their FIFA-AFC joint qualifiers in June after losing to India and Oman by 0-2 and 0-3 margins respectively playing a 1-1 draw with Afghanistan, witnessed their biggest downfall in the rankings since 2018.
The other teams in the top ten rankings are - England, Euro champions Italy, Copa America champions Argentina, Spain, Portugal, Mexico and USA.
Among Asian nations, Japan are ranked 24th while Iran and Australia are in 26th and 35th places respectively.
Among South Asian nations, India are placed 105th, Maldives 158th, Nepal 168th, Bhutan 187th, Pakistan 198th and Sri Lanka 205th in the latest FIFA rankings.
