Bangabandhu Corner to be set up at Punjab university
Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Muhammad Imran hands over CTB on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to Lovely Professional University Vice-Chancellor Ashok Mittal in New Delhi, India on Tuesday.

Bangabandhu Corner is going to be established at “Lovely Professional University” in Punjab, one of the largest private universities in India.

The decision was taken in a meeting between Muhammad Imran, Bangladesh High Commissioner to India, and Ashok Mittal, Chancellor of the University. The initiatives have been taken to mark the celebration of the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The Bangabandhu Corner will gradually be converted into a centre as agreed by the university authorities, said the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi on Tuesday.

The Bangabandhu Corner will have a life-size portrait of Bangabandhu, copies of the Unfinished Memoirs and the Prison Diaries apart from other books on Bangabandhu and Bangladesh’s history, culture and socio-economic development. There will also be audio-visual interfaces for information sharing on Bangabandhu and Bangladesh.
