Azim Uddin Ahmed, an eminent industrialist and one of the founder members of North South University (NSU), has been elected unanimously as chairman of Board of Trustees (BoT) of NSU, said a press release.
The distinguished philanthropist and dynamic social worker served the NSU BoT thrice as its chairman before this present assignment.Ahmed is the chairman of Mutual Group of Companies. He is also the sponsor director and former chairman of Southeast Bank Limited.
He started his business carrier in 1962 at a very early age while he was a student.
Ahmed was born on June 30 in 1940 in Chhagalnaiya upazila under Feni district. He completed his graduation from Dhaka University.
