The retail price of a 12kg cylinder of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has been raised by Tk 49 to Tk 891 for the month of July.
Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has re-fixed the LPG price at the retailer level on Wednesday.“The newly fixed price of LPG will be effective from tomorrow (Thursday) and all licensed LPG marketing companies will implement the price,” BERC Chairman Md Abdul Jalil said at a virtual press briefing, reports BSS. Announcing the new price of LPG, he said the BERC also re-fixed auto gas price at 44 per litre while per kilogram of LPG at Tk 74.24, including VAT, at the retailer level.
According to the BERC decision, new retail price of 12.5 kg LPG for the private sector has been fixed at Tk 928, 15 kg at Tk 1,114, 16 kg at Tk 1,188, 18 kg at Tk 1,337, 20 kg at Tk 1,485, 22 kg at Tk 1,633, 25 kg at Tk 1,856, 30 kg at Tk 2,228, 33 kg at Tk 2,451, 35 kg at Tk 2,599 and 45 kg at Tk 3,341.
According to the BERC details, the price of LPG $530 and $525 per tonne was fixed for June 2021 by Saudi Contract Price (Saudi CP) as per Propane and Butane ratio 35:65.
The Saudi CP price was fixed at $526.75 per tonne considering the ratio between Propane and Butane average.
The BERC chairman said the newly fixed price of LPG will be effective from July 1 and all licensed LPG bottle marketing companies will implement the price.
