CDA demolishes illegal portions of 13-storey bldg

CHATTOGRAM: The Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) demolished an illegal portion of a 13-storey building in the city’s Mogoltuli area on Thursday.

 The eviction drive, led by CDA Special Magistrate Md Saiful Alam Chowdhury, was started at around 10:00am to demolish illegal part of the building built by Samar Holdings at Government Commerce College Road in the area. The magistrate said they demolished the illegal parts of the building as the owner developed it as 13-storey after taking permission for 10-storey one.

Even, they took booking for selling flats upto 14-storey, he said.

The drive will be continued to evict illegal structures in the city, he added.
