The High Court (HC) has dismissed a writ petition that challenged the legality of the online appointment of six teachers to the Philosophy Department of Jahangirnagar University (JU).
The virtual bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman passed the order on Sunday.Law officer of JU Mahtab Uz Zahid confirmed the news to daily sun on Sunday.
Following the HC order, there is no obstacle to appoint the six teachers in the Philosophy Department, he said.
Meanwhile, online registration for virtual examinations of honours and master’s courses under different semesters of Jahangirnagar University began on Sunday.
The authorities have asked all of its students to fill in the online examination entry form by June 30 as per a newly formed university ordinance, “Examination Ordinance During Disaster-2021”, said a press release.
