10 members of 2 teenage gangs held

A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested 10 members of two teenage gangs in the capital’s Shyampur area on Friday night.

They are the members of ‘Seven Star Group’ and ‘Robin Hood Group’, said a press release on Saturday.

The arrestees are Rabbi Ahmed, 16, Nayeem Ahmed, 18, Mohammad Akash, 15, Nayan Howlader, 17, Mohammad Emon, 16, Swikat Sheikh, 17, Tushar Howlader, 18, Rabiul Islam, 18, Mohammad Arif, 17 and Mohammad Hasan, 16. Six switchgear knives, three knives, eight mobile phones and Tk 1,750 in cash were seized from them.

During preliminary interrogation, the arrestees said that they robbed people of cash and valuables, sold drugs and was involved in some other crimes in the area.
