Rehab terms proposed budget business-friendly

Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (Rehab) on Sunday has welcomed the proposed national budget apart from making a demand to reduce registration fee for new asset.

In a statement, the trade body mentioned that the corporate tax cut will attract more investment in the sector supporting the businesses to generate more employments.

“We congratulate the government for placing the budget with reducing duty for housing and rod import, cement, tiles and others raw materials for construction sectors.  At the same the government has given the facilities to investment undisclosed money for buying apartment,” read the statement signed by Rehab President Alamgir Shamsul Alamin.

Welcoming the move of the legalising undisclosed money, Alamin also said that informal money around Tk 140 billion injected into the main stream for helping the pandemic-hit economy due to the policy of the government.
