Niaz plays another draw

Bangladesh grandmaster Niaz Murshed played his fourth draw with Iranian GM Gholami Aryan on the fifth day of the ongoing Asian Continental Individual Hybrid Chess Championship 2021 on Tuesday.

GM Niaz earlier played three consecutive draws against CM Aidtya Bagus Arfan of Indonesia, Uzbekistan grandmaster Vakhidob Jakhongir, Uzbekistan grandmaster Vakhidob Jakhongir on the last three days after beating Al Ibrahim Abdulrahman of Kuwait on the first day. He earned 3 points from five games.

Another Bangladesh grandmaster Enamul Hossain Razib remained with his previous 2.5 points as he conceded a defeat against IM Tin Jingyao of Singapore. Among others, FM Subrota Biswas defeated Henry Lopez of the Philippines, IM Mohammad Farhad Rahman drew with FM Siddharth Jagadeesh of Singapore and IM Abu Sufian Shakil conceded a defeat to IM Bibisara Assaubayva of Kazakhstan.

With the day’s result, FM Subrota earned 2 points, IM Farhad 2.5 points and IM Shakil remained with his previous 2 points.
