Journo Masud Karim’s mother passes away

Ayesha Akter Khatun, mother of Daily Jugantor’s chief reporter Masud Karim, passed away on Monday. She was 86.

She breathed her last at her home in Netrokona’s Barhatta upazila. She left three sons, four daughters, grandsons and granddaughters, and a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn her death.

She will be buried at her family graveyard at Kodom Deuli village in Barhatta upazila today following her namaz-e-janaza.

Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB) expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of mother of Masud Karim, former DCAB president, reports our diplomatic correspondent.

In a condolence message, DCAB president Pantho Rahaman and its general secretary AKM Moinuddin conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members and sought eternal peace of the departed soul.

Daily Ajkaler Khobor editor and Netrokona Journalist Forum, Dhaka’s president Faruk Ahmed Talukder also expressed deep shock at her death.

Besides, leaders of National Press Club, Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) and Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) mourned the death of Ayesha Akter Khatun.
