UAE provides 50mt food for Bangladesh

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has provided 50 metric tons food for Bangladesh as a part of its humanitarian activities during the holy month of Ramadan.

The food aid includes fine quality of rice, sugar, oil, milk, tea powder, salt, lentil, beans, flour and macaroni.

Chargé d'affaires of UAE Embassy in Dhaka Abdulla Ali AlHmoudi officially handed over the humanitarian aid to Director of Department of Disaster Management Md Anisur Rahman at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Thursday.

Earlier, a special flight by Etihad Airways had carried the humanitarian food aid landed at HSIA.

“The UAE shares historical ties with Bangladesh characterised by friendship and cooperation in various fields,” said Chargé d'affaires Abdulla Ali AlHmoudi.
