SCBA election begins

A two-day election of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) began on Wednesday. 

A total of 51 candidates are taking part in the 2021-2022 election that started at 10:00am at SCBA building and continued until 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch and prayer break.

A total of 7,719 lawyers have registered as voters for the election.

SCBA sources said the main contest would take place between panels of ruling Awami League-backed Bangabandhu Awami Ainjibi Parishad and pro-BNP Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Oikya Panel.
