A month-long virtual youth photography exhibition began on Monday to portray the struggle of women and girls across the country.

Photographs of 26 youths from ‘left behind’ communities are being showcased at the exhibition organised under special campaign of Women’s Safety in Public Places, said a press release.

National Human Rights Commission, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Young Bangla-the youth platform of the Centre for Research and Information (CRI) are jointly implementing the campaign.

The campaign encourages positive transformation on perception, attitude and behaviour of youth and others towards women and girls, according to the official.

Sumita Rabidas, a participant from Gaibandha said the photography contest helps me to portray the struggle of women and girls from my community on the occasion of International Women Day 2021.
