Indian Navy team pays homage to Bangabandhu

Visiting Indian Navy representatives pay tribute to the grave of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Tuesday. ISPR PHOTO

Visiting Indian Navy representatives on Tuesday paid tribute to the grave of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at Tungipara in Gopalganj.

They later visited Bangabandhu’s house, museum and library and signed the visitor book.

Earlier, Indian Navy personnel paid their homage to the grave of Bir Shreshtha Ruhul Amin by placing wreaths.

On the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation and the golden jubilee of independence, two Indian Naval ships — INS Kulish and INS Sumedha – arrived in Bangladesh on a three-day goodwill visit on March 8.

Commodore Mahadevu Goverdhan Raju, Commander Sanjeev Agnihotri and Commander Gourav Durgapal were present.
