Summit Power gets ICMAB Best Corporate Award

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi hands over the ICMAB Best Corporate Award 2019 to Summit Power Managing Director Lt Gen (Retd) Engr Abdul Wadud at a function in the capital on Friday.

Summit Power Limited (SPL) has secured first position at the ICMAB Best Corporate Award 2019 in the power generation category.

Summit Power Limited (SPL) Managing Director Lt Gen (Retd) Engr Abdul Wadud received the Gold award from the Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi at ICMAB Best Corporate Award 2019 in the capital on Friday, said a press release.

This is the eight times in a row that Summit Power Limited has received this recognition from the ICMAB for excellence in corporate governance since 2012.

Professor Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam, Chairman of BSEC, Dr Md Jafar Uddin, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and AKM Delwer Hussain, President of SAFA were present as the special guests.

In addition, along with other senior officials Financial Controller and Company Secretary of Summit Power Limited Swapon Kumar Pal was present at the award ceremony held at the Hotel Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden in the city.

Summit Power Limited (SPL) is the leading independent power producer (IPP) of Bangladesh and a publicly listed AAA rated company. It is part of Summit Group that has a combined 1,941 MW installed capacity and supplies electricity to the National Power Grid.
