Govt working for development of women: Indira

RAJSHAHI: State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Fazilatun Nessa Indira, MP, Tuesday said the present government under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly for the development and empowerment of women.

“The government has also attained success in the field of establishing equal rights for women side by side with generating employment opportunities for them,” she said at a function of giving reception to the best joyeeta in Rajshahi division at Shilpakala Academy auditorium here virtually.

Department of Women Affairs and Commissioner’s office of Rajshahi division jointly organised the ‘Joyeeta Onneshone Bangladesh-2019’ programme, reports BSS.

Secretary to the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs Kazi Rawshan Akter also addressed the ceremony virtually. On the occasion, five women get the divisional level best Joyeeta Award while five others runner-ups as recognition of attaining their success in different fields after overcoming difficulties and challenges.
