Mohammad Abu Jafar has recently been promoted as Additional Managing Director (AMD) of Dhaka Bank Limited.

Jafar has joined to Dhaka Bank Limited as Deputy Managing Director (International Banking) during 5 August in 2015, said a press release.

Jafar has made significant contribution on overall business development, specially Ready Made Garment (RMG) financing, enrichment of offshore banking, treasury business, foreign trade financing international business.

On the basis of remarkable achievement regarding consistent and substantial contribution on bank’s growth, the board has promoted Jafar to the post of Additional Managing Director (AMD).

Jafar has 30 years successful banking career path. Before joining Dhaka Bank Limited (DBL), he was Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) and Branch Manager of National Bank Limited. He was born in a respectable family from Chittagong during 1964. He obtained BSS with Honours and MSS in Economics from the University of Chittagong.

He attended different banking programmes, training, seminar, and symposium etc. at home and abroad.
