582 homeless people to get houses in Debiganj

PANCHAGARH: A number of 582 homeless people are going to get brick built houses in Debiganj upazila of the district, an official said.

The construction works of the houses are going on in a full sewing as the shed of the houses is being made by heavy corrugated iron sheets, reports BSS.

Upazila administration is implementing the construction work under the Ashrayan Project -2 taken by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

Sources said each house is being built at a cost of Taka one lakh 71 thousands.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sabina Yeasmin visited the construction work on Saturday.

During the visit, the DC said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken measure to provide houses to all homeless people throughout the country marking the Mujib Year. The homeless people who are going to get houses expressed their gratitude to the prime minister. They also prayed for long life and sound health of the premier.
