Unilever, Niketan donate Tk 1.3mn to Amar Joti Special School

Unilever Bangladesh in assoctaion with Niketan, an organization of Dutch origin, donated Tk 10 lakh 30 thousand to Amar Joti Special School.

Rabeya Yeasmin Neela, Principal of Amar Joti Special School, Sakshi Handa, Human Resources Director, Babul Saha, Finance Excellence Team Leader of Unilever Bangladesh Limited (UBL) along with other UBL officials engaged in a classroom session and interacted with the children with special needs on Wednesday to celebrate ‘International day for persons with disabilities’, said a press release.

The day was observed in an eventful manner through observing cultural programme and cutting cake with the children. Along with the engagement session, UBL handed over the cheque of Tk 1.3 million to the school’s three selected students, one year worth of educational expenses.

Amar Joti Special School is a concern of Niketan, where children with complex disabilities receive quality and appropriate education by making use of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) and thematic education.

UBL has partnered with Niketan, an organization of Dutch origin, to help the disabled children of Bangladesh.
