‘Rupsa Nadir’ Banke gets uncut censor certificate

Rupsha Nadir Banke, an upcoming full-length film directed by Ekushey Padak-winning filmmaker Tanvir Mokammel, has got censor certificate from Bangladesh Film Censor Board (BFCB), said a press release. 

The premiere show of the film will be held on December 10 and it will be released on December 12, the press release added.

‘Rupsha Nadir Banke’ is a historical film. The story of the film revolves around a leftist politician named Manob Mukherjee, who was abducted and killed by Razakars during the liberation war in 1971. Besides liberation war, the film portrays different historical movements like Swadeshi movement, Tebhaga movement and other progressive movements.

The cast of the government-granted film includes Tousif Sadman Turja, Zahid Hasan Shovon and Khairul Alam Sabuj, Ramnedu Majumdar, Chitralekha Guha, Jhuna Chowdhury, Afzal Kabir, Rajib Salehin, Abdullah Rana, Masum Bashar, Mili Basher and British actor Andrew Jones.
