Farooque, Azizul Hakim return home from hospital

Noted film actor and lawmaker Akbar Hossain Pathan Farooque and small screen actor Azizul Hakim returned home on Tuesday from hospital after recovery from coronavirus. 

Farooque was admitted to Kurmitola Hospital in the capital on November 16 after tested positive for coronavirus. Earlier, he returned to the country in the last week of October after nearly one and half month’s treatment in Singapore for TB (Tuberculosis).

He also joined the parliament session on November 6 and November 9. He tested twice for coronavirus after attending the sessions and his second test’s result came out positive.

Farooque is feeling well now. He has returned home following doctors’ advice, his wife Farhana Pathan told the media.

On the other hand, Azizul Hakim tested positive for coronavirus and admitted to Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in the capital on November 12. He was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the same day. On November 13, Azizul Hakim was put on life support as his condition deteriorated.

The actor has returned home 12 days after receiving medical treatment. His health condition has improved and he is currently at home under doctor’s observation.

Azizul Hakim’s wife, playwright Zeenat Hakim and his family members expressed gratitude to all, including the countrymen, who have enquired about Hakim’s health conditions during his stay at the hospital as well as sought prayers for his early recovery.
