Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman GM Quader demanded that the government ensure Covid-19 vaccine for all people free of charge.

“It may not be possible for ultra poor people to buy coronavirus vaccine. That’s the reason why it should be free for all,” he said. He came up with the statements while exchanging views with leaders of Bangladesh Besharkari Shikkhak-Karmachari Forum at the party’s Banani office in the capital.

The country’s people want to know clearly about how the government is dealing with the situation, he said, adding that they will have to play a responsible role in this regard. Mentioning that the coronavirus infection has increased throughout the country, GM Quader lamented the fact that there is no visible preparation to face the situation.

The ministers concerned claim that all preparations have been made to fight the global respiratory disease, but the Covid-19 patients are suffering a lot due to lack of life support system.

Patients do not get it even in private hospitals in exchange for money, he added.

The JP chief also demanded that treatment for Covid-19 patients be free in hospitals.
