ACC sues Titas official for graft

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday filed a case against Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd Assistant Manager Syed Nasir Uddin Ahamed on charges of amassing illegal wealth.

ACC Deputy Assistant Director Ferdous Rahman filed the case at its integrated district office in Dhaka-1 accusing the Titas official of graft charges, said ACC Director (media) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee.

ACC sources said Nasir uddin submitted his wealth statement to the ACC on May 6, 2019 where he shows that he owns movable and immovable wealth worth Tk 26.95 lakh.  But the ACC during their probe found that he concealed information of his wealth worth Tk 1.16 crore in his wealth statement.
