Bangladesh envoy presents credentials to Greek President

Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou has called for further strengthening Dhaka-Athens bilateral relations and exploring business and investment opportunities between the two countries.

She also expressed her happiness over the existing business and investment potentials in Bangladesh, exploring by the two business communities.

The Greek President made the remarks while newly appointed Bangladesh Ambassador to Greece Ashud Ahmed presented his credentials to the president at a ceremony at the Greek Presidency in Athens on Friday.

Katerina Sakellaropoulou was elected head of the state following a historic parliamentary vote on January 22, 2020. The 63-year-old Sakellaropoulou became the first woman in the history of Greece to hold the top office.

He mentioned that Greece was one of the first countries who recognised Bangladesh after its independence in 1971.
