Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will get cash assistance of USD 1 million from FIFA under the FIFA COVID-19 relief plan, confirmed BFF General Secretary Md Abu Nayeem Shohag.
FIFA Council on June 25 approved a fund of USD 1.5 billion for supporting its 211 members associations amid the pandemic. Besides, the governing body of world football will provide USD 5,00,000 for women football of each member country.“We got the official circular (No. 1725) on this decision on July 29. The grants will be given into two installments. FIFA emphasised on the good use of the grants. It says the money can be used for resuming football, developing the national team, administration and other footballing activities. We want to help our stakeholders, clubs, DFAs, players and referees through these grants. FIFA will sit with every member individually, we’ll propose our plans there,” said BFF General Secretary to the reporters on Thursday.
