Bangladesh envoy visits assembling plants in Russia

Bangladesh Ambassador to Russia Kamrul Hasan poses for a photo with top officials of Russian nuclear assembling factories after inspecting equipment for Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant recently.

Bangladesh Ambassador to Russia Kamrul Ahsan has visited two major nuclear equipment manufacturing factories in Russia. The PJSC Zio-Podolsk and the JSC Rasu are assigned to assemble equipments for under construction Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant in Pabna.

The key purpose of his visit was to inspect the progress of various machineries manufacturing for the country’s first ever nuclear power project, said Bangladesh Ambassador Kamrul Ahsan on Thursday.

During the visits, Kamrul said that Rooppur Plant was a dream project of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman which is currently being implemented under the leadership of his worthy daughter, Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina.

He further said “Bangladesh will be placed in a special prestigious list of 30 nuclear power producing countries after implementation of this project.”

The PJSC Zio-Podolsk plant is currently building the Moisture Separator Reheater for unit-2 of the plant, High Pressure Heater and Emergency Core Cooling System Hydro-Accumulator for Rooppur NPP.

On the other hand, JSC Rasu Factory is evaluating the parts of the Upper Level Control System of Unit-1 of Rooppur NPP and assured to deliver by next September.

In addition, the ambassador has emphasized timely delivery while maintaining international standards and coordination between the manufacturing processes of machinery in different factories of Russia.
