After a long three and a half months, US-Bangla Airlines has started operating flights from Dhaka to Barishal on Sunday.

It will now operate daily flights from Dhaka to Barishal at 4:15 pm and from Barishal to Dhaka at 5:25 pm.

With the re-launch of flights on the Barishal route, it will be easier for the citizens of the six districts of greater Barisal to connect with the rest of the country by air, said a US-Bangla press release.

A minimum fare of Tk 2,500 has been fixed for one-way including all types of taxes and surcharges.

Passengers will also be able to enjoy a 12 percent discount on fares by booking using US-Bangla Airlines' website and mobile apps.

In addition, US-Bangla Skystar customers will be able to collect tickets from the airline's own sales office at a 12 percent discount.

The Dhaka-Barisal-Dhaka route will be operated with a brand new ATR 72-600 aircraft.

At present, during the COVID-19 pandemic, US-Bangla Airlines operates daily flights from Dhaka to Chattogram, Sylhet, Jashore and Saidpur, in addition to the domestic route Barisal.
