Food official, wife sued for graft

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Thursday filed a case against Food Inspector Noor Mohammad Ali and his wife Sajeda Begum on charge of amassing illegal wealth and laundering money.

ACC deputy assistant director Nur Alam filed the complaint with its Rangpur integrated district office against the couple, said ACC director (Public Relations) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee.

The case was filed under Anti-Corruption act-2004 (sections 26 (2) and 27 (1)) and Money laundering Act-2012 (section 4 (2) and (3)).
