Rajshahi Education Board has kept its consistency in securing the top position in pass rate while Dhaka Board students had the highest number of GPA-5 scorers this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations.
Like the previous years, Sylhet Education Board remained at the bottom in both pass rate and GPA-5 in SSC exam. The board saw 78.79 percent pass rate this year.Some 180902 students out of 200185 examinees came out successful under Rajshahi Education Board in the SSC exam with 90.37 percent pass rate.
On the other hand, Sylhet Education Board achieved the lowest pass rate in SSC as 91480 examinees out of total 1,16,104 came out successful with 78.79 percent pass rate.
The Rajshahi Board also secured the top position with 91.64 percent pass rate last year.
This year, the pass rate is 82.34 percent in Dhaka, 85.22 in Cumilla, 87.31 percent in Jessore, 85.75 percent in Chittagong, 79.70 percent in Barisal, 82.73 percent in Dinajpur and 80.13 for Mymensingh education board.
In terms of GPA-5 obtainers, Dhaka Board secured the top position with 36,047 students achieved the highest grade point among the education boards while Sylhet Board remained at the bottom in terms of GPA achievers with only 7,434 GPA-5 scorers.
The numbers of GPA-5 achievers is 9,008 in Chattogram, 10,245 in Cumilla, 4,483 in Barishal, 4,263 in Sylhet, 7,434 in Dinajpur, 13,763 in Jashore, 26,167 in Rajshahi and 12,086 in Mymensingh.
