Summit Group of Companies Vice-Chairman Md Farid Khan hands over a cheque for Tk 3 crore to Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus at the Prime Minister’s Office in the capital on Sunday.

Bangladesh’s largest infrastructure conglomerate Summit Group has donated Tk 3 crore to the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund to fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Dr Ahmad Kaikaus received the cheque on behalf of PM’s office, said a press release.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina thanked the organisations and individuals that donated to her relief and welfare fund.

Meanwhile, during this coronavirus crisis Summit Group presented five thermal scanners for identifying people with high temperature in a crowd in the airport and Prime Minister’s office.

The shipment for two thousand high quality protective suits and fifty thousand masks especially made for this purpose are on its way from China.

Summit is also supporting SEID Trust based in Kamrangirchar, Dhaka to provide support to poor disable children who are more vulnerable than the general population.

Summit is the largest infrastructure conglomerate being the largest Independent Power Producer (IPP) in Bangladesh and private port owner and operator. The conglomerate has interest in Hospitality, Fibre Optics, Tower, Hi-Tech park, Shipping, Oil trade, etc.
