A total of 619 dengue patients have been hospitalized across the country in last 24 hours, though the number of cases is declining gradually.
Over 10,000 dengue patients were hospitalized across the country during the last 15 days this month, sources said.According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), only 619 dengue patients were hospitalized across the country in the past 24 hours till Sunday morning.
Of them, 163 patients were hospitalised in the capital and 456 others elsewhere in the country.
The number of dengue patients admitted to different hospitals across the country is 10089 till September 15 this year. Some 52,636 were hospitalized in August, 16253 in July and 1884 in June, DGHS sources said.
According to Health Emergency Operations Centre and Control room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), some 81,186 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country since January. Of them, 78,437 were discharged from hospitals after recovery till Sunday.
